- 4th Floor
Originally designed to harbor the Educational Service, more specifically the Digitopia and all of its technological devices, Cibermusic was instead adapted to new and varied functions. Its coating materials, rubber and polyurethane foam on one wall and exposed concrete on the other, cause a unique dual acoustic effect. That is why the sound control in this room focuses on amplification, presenting the acoustic concerts by the outside window. If you applaud on opposite corners of the room you can clearly notice that the sound resonates differently: clearer, colder and natural on the concrete side, warmer and full bodied on the rubber side.
This space has been used for meetings, concerts and lectures, maintaining the necessary technical liaison to the building for computer systems. The internal window, overlooking the stage, keeps its curtains open whenever the performance allows, giving the visitor the possibility to watch the stage, including during daytime concerts, rehearsals and open rehearsals.
